As a plumber, Thomas Garnes encountered countless clogged boat toilets and felt the need for a product to address this issue.

He had an idea. Now, NORDIC - ECO AS is launching Eco PipeClean. "We want people to enjoy their time on the boat instead of having to deal with clogged pipes."

Addressing a Well-Known Issue
Eco PipeClean is a green, biodegradable cleaning product that removes limescale buildup in boat toilets and other vessels on the move. There's no doubt that many people have longed for such a solution. As an experienced plumber in the shipping industry, Thomas knew that limescale - which occurs when urine meets stainless steel materials - is a significant problem. "Clogged boat toilets are simply a dirty job, and until now, there hasn't been a product that removes limescale. Many products claim to clean pipes, but as a plumber, I've seen that they don't work. You end up having to manually clear the pipes or replace them," he explains. Drawing on his knowledge of pipes and plumbing issues, he began experimenting with various mixtures that he concocted himself. It was essential that all ingredients be biodegradable to avoid harming both the pipes, alloys, and the environment. Sustainability is paramount. Thomas was in charge of pipes when the three Nesodden ferries transitioned from gas to electricity.
